This does not include for the main pumping the pipe line and sewage farm in the Shatin Valley. cost ($39 per head) for Section IV is due to the great length of main sewer; on the present assumption that it must lead to the Railway Tunnel. I consider that it may be practicable and considerably cheaper, to modify this Section and to have a sepa- rate disposal works behind Kai Tak. Sinoe the area is not now developed, there is time to consider this further. I consider that it is proper to estimate oosts per head of the System to the main pumping station, at $23 per head, average.
